Some good pics of what was a top weekend out, something to look at over the coming loooong winter months to spur us on for next years event(s).
Thought you Vipers put in a fantastic show at putting yanks on the uk car map.
Only down side is my motor is now in bits(winters come early for me) ,although i did see a few other broken motors going back down the M1,but i will be back for next spring.
Now what did i read somewhere 'Quitters never Win' 'Winners never Quit'.

was yours the black one that lost the spark plugs down the engine ? or something like that
In general there was a lot more failures/retirements this year than last, maybe the extreme temps and dreaded heat sink help put a lot of these cars out. Or was it because they were tuned within a inch of their lives

What a TOP EVENT!,Sad its over for another year,my only regret was to run with very worn tyres(my cunning plan to get more speed only seemed to give me loads of wheel spin in most gears!!!!!DAM IT!)Khumos on the shopping list for next year.I think i can still run in the 11,s with this car.Well done Joel...great driving, and Nad....what can i say!!You whipped a hill climb/sprint champ at his own game in a car that weighed no more than a dish cloth.Sorry to hear about the sick ZR1 i was looking forward to a battle with it in my class, maybe next year, hope you fix it soon, must comeover for a chat next year.I think Steve maybe a bit bothered about being the fastest looking GTS ,but in real terms the slowest,me thinks he will be looking at major mods on that car in an effort to change the status quo next next year?I think the Vipers made a mark and many people had to take notice this year,i feel very prowd to had been part of this years team, and hope next year we can do even better!!!!Anyone got photos of the event i can have copys of please?
Yes, unfortunately mine was the sick black one, still nothing a rebuild and a larger radiator can't sort out, ime looking to modify the hood as well with some louvres to get the dreaded heat awaaaay.
It would have been good to go up against a Viper if only to give the event an all american tussle.
Looks like there will be a Vette forum of the ground soon, thanks to pistonheads,so hopefully it will bring my fellow vetteheads closer together and maybe over this winter we can organise between the Vipers and Vettes an event where we could hire the 'Pod' out for a sunday so we can compete against each other,or even somewhere like Elvington where we could do more than the 1/4 mile.
Here's to some freindly rivalry and well done to the drivers and their cars for last sunday, you have set quite a high standard.

Top event it was......I thoroughly enjoyed it, the Skunk did his best and survived despite a thorough thrashing on the handling course. Looking forward to the vid/dvd and looking forward to next years event. Thanks to the viper team "spannermen" (Neil and Barry) for looking the part and doing the pushing and for all of us viper folks for getting it together. Excellent
Yep,can,t wait for next year with some Khumo,s i think high 11,S are on the cards, then onto the handling coarse!Only managed a warm up run each before we ran out of time, shame,as i think we could have gone faster then the Transit!!!!!!!!!!(but on nacked tyres?,maybe not!!)Look forward to a Vette forum on this site, and look forward to a race meet with them. Those terminal 1/4 speeds were well out!Shame as i would like to have known what speeds through the traps we were doing....12.16 at 127 and12.15 at 111?and as for Nads terminal of 111 in the mid 11,s no way,she musthave been in the high 120,s or even 130+.I guess theres always next time.(My poxy run at Avon of 13.4at 118 seems to indicate that).
Did anyone notice the the tyres the Skylines where running(bridgestone potenzas),they look like the type you get on the BIG m/bikes..God did they grip, ideal for getting of the line but i wouldnt like to drive to the track like some of those owners did, could prove expensive, probably cost a fortune for a set of them.
guess who made the DVD front cover, nice pic
