Hello guys
I recently let the battery go flat and have spent about 5 days trying to get the car going but the engine just wouldnt fire. Some where in the back of my mind I remembered a thread about holding the throttle right down in order to reboot the ECU.I tried this and the car burst into life.My question is if I decide to change the battery and have it disconnected for more than say a couple of minutes will I have to reset or remap the ECU and if so what is the correct procedure?

Thanks to Barry, James and Dave for your help so far!

you cant remap it, it just needs to relearn by you simply going out on a few runs, turning the AC on helps for some reason ive long since forgot

You wont need a remap ....
Pressing the throttle pedal down with ignition on just lets the PCM know where WOT (wide open Throttle) is.. But others say its not needed...
