Spark Plug Gap

Hi folks

I have a 97GTS Euro spec .Tried to start it at the weekend with a low battery and ended up flooding the engine.On taking the plugs out the gaps are all about 55 thousanths,however the handbook indicates 35 thou (.9mm) Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated

Champion RC12LYC plugs which are the stock ones come set to 35thou and is what the service manual says so i would go with that if i were you.
