the Roes SC are known to stress them a bit quicker than norm, you hear a lot of them braking im surprized Sean doesnt include a billet ali in his kit
get a billet aluminium, not another OE plastic one

this will help

Dont think im going to go this year, Ive had enough of muddy fields! Its a shame though, its a good show and is only on the one day, Shame it looks like poor weather Ive been told I have to carry on hanging wallpaper in the Hallway
Better get it done while you can ....................I was woken up at 6am this morning with rain lashing the windows and my first thought was 'muddy field' so I'm not going unless a miracle happens in the next few hours. I imagine a lot of other people are thinking the same... Still might be able to get the beast out later on for something else if it brightens up a little!

First time to this show, cold, but a good day out and plenty to see. Weather mostly held off, but hail storm on way home! Only snapped a couple of pics, 3 Vipers were there.
Phil, with the SC the stronger billet bracket and pulley is a must do, even good idea on OE GenII. I bust them competing, no fun, hope you get it fixed soon. Go careful cutting the old pulley center off! If you're tracking the car, make sure you sort the oiling issues (larger pan, windage tray and pan trap doors, OFA).

Thanks Nad. Parts arrive on Tuesday! I have a problem with track days due to noise limits and no CATS, so I have invested in a DB meter. Do you know how the tracks check the noise levels? (i.e RPM, Angle (at 45 deg to car and fully from the rear?) and distant from car / exhausts)
you need a noise free day Phil there are a few aboutthe proper circuits have built in trackside microphones scattered around the circuit, all the trackdays i've been to i've never seen anyone walking around with a handheld meter taking readings, they just wait for you to get on track and see which cars are over the limit, warn you, then if you cant quieten your car ask you to leave
I`m afraid `noise free days` are a thing of the past. Recently Silverstone, last bastion of `noisy` days, have imposed stringant new rules, after a local resident complained to the council. What was `noisy` days have now become limited to static 105 db, tested 1/2 metres away @ 3/4 revs and a 102 db drive by test. You get one warning, if you can`t silence your car further, you`re out. Bedford Autodrome have even tighter rules in place, making it all but impossible for a lot of bigger engined cars there, Goodwood is max 105db with noise meters are on both sides of the track, in 3 or 4 locations. Wired/monitored also by Chichester Borough Council, noise infractions incur a 30 minute 'cooling off' period to get the overall average for a day down. Imagine how popular you will be with your fellow track users should you be black-flagged for noise! Both Spa and Nurburgring are also enforcing limits of 105db. So get your noise meters out and start checking before paying out good money and being told you cannot play. I have had to restrict the CC with huge silencers to get the car on track at all, and I can at the moment only use the S/C GTS at pre-race test days or competitions where it just scrapes by at the 108 db static limit.
