Evening Everybody,

I ran my Dodge Viper GTS on a rolling road on saturday and was happyish with the results. Its a standard car apart from a K&N Induction kit and cat back exhaust system. It ran an ok 470bhp at the clutch and 443bhp at the wheels. However when it was being run the car hit 200mph in 5th gear which was VERY nice and VERY impressive. Not sure whats going on with that but I'm certainly not complaining!!! biglaugh

Will give it another run after my SVS Racing headers have been fitted and a run again after the car has had a remap. More results to follow in the coming weeks. Stay tuned folks!

Cheers,

Craig.

Blue one sorry biggrin

Viper, not sure what add on system. I've found a guy that usually re-maps these kind of cars so just give it to him, let him have a play and see what he can come up with. I'll let you all know how it goes once its done.

your guy may have some difficulty then, its pretty much impossible to do without a bolt unit, there's only a couple of long term US tuners who have found a way to crack the stock ECU, and it thats only happened over the last 6 months or so

Any idea who they are? I know he does just re-mapping for a living on Ferrari's and race cars etc but this doesn't sound too good. Any info would be great. Could try and get in touch with these guys first and see what they can tell us. Cheers

AEM about $3000 for the unit www.dcperformance.com and loads of experience required

VEC3 of .www.roeracing.com about $1000 for the unit, loads of experience needed smile

plus install and then dyno time to setup correctly, thats if you want to tinker, you cant get a cheaper pre-set option but its not fully programmable
