I had a look at the red RT10 at Atlantic Sportscars today with a view to buying. The car looks very clean and the engine sounds as it should. Does anyone know the car and if so can you confirm it is as good as it looks. I must say Atlantic couldn't have been more helpful and a great set up.

It's also the featured Viper in the February Top Gear magazine in the buyers guide section in the middle.

Thanks for the replies. I will have a look in the magazine. I have always preferred the look of the origional Viper but am in two minds whether or not for practical reasons to try and find a 98 GenII with the improved hood and security. Does anyone have a view on this. Is a 98/99 a scarce commodity in the UK?? I already have a Cobra so I am used to the floppy hood and screens syndrome.

There are very few Gen2 RT/10s in the UK and even less for sale....

Seen maybe 4 in the last 3 years....

A Gen 2 is a big improvment but there is just somthing about a GEN 1....

As the owner of a Gen 1 I would add that you really want a hardtop.

If, whatever car you buy, does not have one, then you will be looking at £2000 plus for the roof and some nice side windows.

Yes I was thinking the same thing. Is it something that I would have to buy from the States or are they available here ?? Do you have a photo of yours with the hardtop on.

Need to buy new from the USA, I brought hard top, tinted windows and a rear wing about 3 months ago.

Mine came from here

Most folks on this forum speak very highly re the service level from Biff, I would agree

He's not the only one either. I have just bought a GTS (not the wonky wheeled one) and hope to meet up with the other owners soon!

I also would like to say a HUGE thank you to all the guys on here who have put up with me jabbering on about it for the last 10 months or so! The support offered here is truly amazing!
