Hey guys been a while.
while i was having a look at cobra mustangs 03/04,like supercharge one`s,
i bumped into some srt-10`s,holy crap around the 34k area,if i sell everything, not the zo6,i reckon by late summer i could afford one.
bottom line,is there something i need to know about these.
they seemed to be around 46k whenever i saw them.
the price seems to have drop out of the blue.Or is this a $$/££ thing.
Sorry for being so cheap, but thanks for any help.DAVE

Most of them seem to be about 42k-45k, I'd be wary of anything 10k less than that, especially as we know our friend estelius was fixing up a black SRT and our other friend was flogging Gen3s as only being a few £k more than a gen 2 the other day.

Maybe OK, but does stand out a bit. dont go anywhere near without a carfax. It really starting to censored me off that the market is being screwed around with.

Just a couple of bits of info, best not get an 03 they do suffer from diff failure unless the pin has been changed for a hardened one, I have a pin is stock if you need one.

If its an 04 then check its had the cam bolt recall done as having your cam drive come off at speed can wreck the engine.

Front pulleys can alos come loose, part of the above seems an assembly worker suddenly decided you don't need to use locktight any more.

Great cars have 15,000 miles on mine in two years, never missed a beat.

they all look good to me they have really dropped in price like you mentioned, the SRT is quite a bargain !

dont be put off by all the recent nonsense, just make sure you have a carfax (if imported) and a HPI, but you know that anyway

good luck on the hunt, i'd say just watch out for the one that was really punished on the top gear track

Looks like the first one they bought in used by there MD Simon and went up the track at the festival of speed, recognised the h/l washers.

Nice car, you will not be disappointed with the performance or the ride, and especially the brakes.

Hey phil, you up for a drive out sometime??maybe wheels day in march?would loved to talk vipers.

viper paul.how would you compare the srt to a gen 2,ride suspension wise,
the 99 i had tended to be a white knuckle ride a 75mph,diving about all over the road.although i know think the alignment was set to aggressive for the road,or it was just way out.the amount of things you can adjust on the suspension i cant see why you cant get it set up to be reasonable on the road.??any input on this would be great.

ps Neil,i reckon i will need some decals soon. cheers.DAVE
