Ram SRT10...VHR, it wasn't you!
Discussion
"Spotted" post, or should I say "heard familier growl" of SRT10 in city of Bath today, eyes-left and there was a dark red quad cab SRT10 truck, dwafing all the other traffic and sounding fantastic (expected to see a Viper) but not, nor was it VHR (but, would like to go for another spin in your beastie!). Reg KE55 OZK and badged with Hennessey stickers too, nice truck.
Its a guy called Jason and also owns a Amber performance..Not met Jammie..
Bassed in Dunstable and also has an SRT-10 as well....

HI guys , nnot been on here for a long time!!!
Mental note , make more effort!
That truck was brilliant , not sure about the long term fuel bills , when giving it some the trip meter was hiting the 6's per gallon , but what a lovely sound and really surprised a few people with its performance!
Learnt a lot with that vehicle too , SVA preparation etc. was a learning curve but passed first time once we knew the parameters
Still got the Mamba , still for sale , but also eagerly awaiting some fine weather to get her out the garage and enjoy whilst still in my posession , actaully plan on registering it with the V1PER M plate we bought so i dont have to dick about etc on trades when it comes out!
Actually , while im here , front O/S wheel could do with a refurb due to kerb scuff , anyone know a good place, Baz , anywhere local?? May get all 4 done at right price!
Finally , if you remember Jamie you are going back a few years sadly , we bought him out when he could not settle his bills , kept the JW name but took over everything else, as Baz said based in Dunstable now and gradually rebuilding that side of the business , with the odd car sale thrown in (really an excuse for me to buy , drive and sell all the cars ive yearned for - gets past the missus that way!!)
cheers

I have not found anyone in the UK that will do SRT/10 wheels due to the finish in the end I sent it to the USA for refurb there at a cost of 400 dollars.
Pristine could not help but made a superb job of the GT2 wheels which are grey.
And bought a spare which had been refurbed from X2 Collision which was nice and 700 dollars, so about £350 pounds plus shipping and duty.
It seems chrome and high polish wheels are common in the US but not in the UK.
My local metal finisher did one for the GTS I once owned but they have no facility to put the laquer on and people tell me that standard car body laquer will not stick to the finish.
James at Atlantic Gave me a number near Milton Keynes which he thought could do it have spoken to then and they reakon that if its a minor ding they can sand it gently out and then re laquer the wheel as they do have access to an aluminium laquer which is the secret.
The yanks can refurb major kerb rash.

Cool ,ill bare all this in mind , all people are local thus far so that makes it easier , the damage is minor (sort of) ie. is only on the very outer edge but is approx. 30% of the way round the wheel so just detracts from the rest of the car which is spot on!
ill talk to one or two of my US / Canadian contacts and see what they can find for me , is there someone in partciluar the VCA recommend in the US ? jsut on the off chance!
cheers

Hi Jason, yes that would of been quite a few years ago when I first bought some JW goodies! I was fitting one of the first Roe superchargers (#3) and so fitting knock sensors and monitoring kit was essential to tune and dial it all in, especially given the differences in octane ratings across the pond! I've been running in Time Attack, noticed the JW name on Simons DC; we had a hoot skating about at the Autosport show recently
