Hi guys and gals,

I was coming out of my house today, and up towards the East Lancs round where is saw a red with white stripes RT10 being followed by a Pontiac Trans Am. Had a very nice plate on the Viper and was just curious who it was? Time was about 3:20pm and we were at the set of lights near the Queens Arms pub. Any ideas?

Cheers, Craig.

P.S. Don't know where the idea came from that I'm from the Midlands, but I'm a Northern Boy I'm afraid! biggrin

Hi Craig
it wasnt Yorkie Boy it was Colin Tinker in the Viper ( spoke to you at the Cheshire Cruz ) and Dale in the Transam, both been to the Corvette meet on the East Lancs at the Toby Carvery , 1st Sunday of the month , have a ride up then there will be more Vipers than Corvettes,
its become an American car meet now as there are more ex Corvette owners attend than Corvette owners ,

Hi Andy,

Hope you had a good christmas and new year! I thought it was Colin but wasn't 100% sure. Car was looking very nice I must say, very clean and sounding lovely. I never knew there was a meet there and only 10 minutes away! I'll be sure to pop down one time when my car is finally back on the road, AGAIN!

Take care mate.

Craig

LONG STORY Mate!

Had a little scrape in it a while ago. Got that sorted and had a full respray at the same time. The car then went for a new clutch and mysteriously died over night when it came to bleeding the system. After having 2 'auto electricians' and 1 'american car specialist' look at it nobody could tell me what the problem was. They said a long shot might be the PCM (ECU) but didn't think it was that as it went so suddenly and without the car being worked on or touched (as i say it worked one day then not the next). I ordered a new one from Chuck, put it in and the car jumped into life. I then took it to a main dealer to have it checked over and finally get the clutch finished off when they told me the clutch in it didn't fit properly.

2 slave cylinders, a master cylinder, another new clutch, fly wheel, PCM, K&N Induction kit, windscreen wipers, tyres, a full re-wire on all lights, lots of man hours and a BIG Chrysler bill later it was all working again!
I drove it for about 2 months and then the boot lock decided to break, the alarm started to go off and not let me in the car (the fob did nothing to help!) and finally the battery died all in the week before the tax run out. I thought I wouldn't get much use out of it over the winter so decided to leave it and concentrate on getting all the parts together. I've now got my boot lock, the alarm ripped out, battery pack ready and just for fun new HID headlights, HID Number plate lights, a new private number plate and a set of SVS Racing headers all ready to go on.

All in all its been a pain in the ass since you last saw it! Love it to bits though and can't wait to get it back. My christmas present is still to come!
