Without spending too much cash, what suspension improvements can I make to my GTS 1997.

I have no desire to use the car on trackdays, but would like the handling improved for road use only.

Any help appreciated

Thanks

JonB at Partsrack does some Suspension Upgrades on his site:

http://www.partsrack.blastmart.com/customer/home.p...

Might be worth taking a look there

The dampers are adjustable, but they need to be removed to do so. there is a post on the VCA by Joel which details the process, I'll have a look and see if i can find it but the short version is, remove the shock, compress the spring and remove, you then push the piston in and turn it to adjust the damping reassemble and hope you don't fly off the road at the next bump.

that is a very rough guide to it, I'll go and see if i can find Joel's much more detailed description now..

The thing that has put me off trying this is messing up all the alignment as according to the service manual when you start unbolting bits of the suspension like this you need to start worrying about ride height etc when you bolt it all back together again

Mich also did the mod as Joel suggested, no problems and he loves the improvement, no messing around afterwards with alignment

just reading through the thread again now and Joel does say in a later post that you need to tighten it all up with the wheel at ride height so that the bushings are all at the correct torsion, so i guess this get around having to set it all up again.

Did this mod also but should have left the back slightly softer, I found that the koni's had not even been adjusted and were on the softest setting too hard on the rear gets it a bit understeery hard front and back softer will induce better contollable understear.

But I was a rally man in my youth LOL

K and W and brilliantly made and top quality and if I was going to replace the SRT then thats what I would use and lowers the ride height.

But you need four wheel alignment afterwards
