Guess it had to happen sooner or later.
Out on A dream ride with a young chap when behind us flies a Black Ford Focus ST starts giving me a push, passenger says they are quick cars, thats what I drive so quick change down and offfffffffff giving it loads of beans.
Next Focus grill lights up in pretty blue colours and I get tugged copper was pretty fair, said he was struggling to catch me at 85 so he kindly settled for 60 in a 40.
Put a bit of a curb on my 'Dream Rides' as my card had been marked, o well a clean license for 34 years.

Every cloud . . . I was telling all to look out for a black/blue A5 after I saw you being pulled I knew it was a black/blue Focus
Sorry Paul your memory must be fading, that strecth of road had the speed gun on it a couple of years ago (catching loads of bikers) but none of us as it was so close to our NEC entry/exit and was warm up/cool down area
Bad luck but at least it was 60 in 40, only time you've been done in 34 years just a mometary slip
I hope it wont put you off as you do a fantatic job promoting and doing the rides - at the very least it'll improve your memory in this area

So very sorry to hear your news Paul. If as you say, the Arses in the black Ford ST came flying up behind you and tried to push you into going faster is'nt that intrapment? Couldnt you have them in a court of law for that? especialy as you had a witness in your car? This kind of thing just makes my blood boil and I have nothing but contempt for the police and laws in this country when this kind of tactic is used. Its not as you will now find out just about getting points, its the fact now that your insurance policy(s) will now all go up in price and not just for one year either! The points remain on your Driving Licence for the next 5yrs, it now means that every time you go out on the road you will probaly be looking all around you wondering where the next scamera will be and whos in that car behind you? Instead of which your eyes should be on making sure that you dont hit little johnny as he sticks a finger up at you and runs out into the road THATS IT RANT OVER FOR NOW
