Thought I,d post this to see if its something people would like. If you think a Viper news letter of happenings/events is what you,d like let me know.I know we have this forum to share various news or happenings but I always find having a flyer of events on the fridge help remind me of whats on during the year. Having the forum is great but not the be-all-end-all and some owners do have better things to do than come to this forum every other day / week to check up on events. It just an idea, but if don,t want to vote myself into a job if its not what "the people" want.Cheers,Tom.

p.s. I would like to hear the points/ ideas from all who visit this site and not just the usual suspects.hehe

Great idea, had been considering sticking my hand up as well, but you beat me to it hehe

I suspect there is a great deal of information we would like to exchange between members that some are less keen to put on a totally open forum, such as track days and events etc where groupies would not be quite so welcome but other owners/helpers might.

I think an email blast would be best to keep the costs down unless we have a lot of owners like Sir Steve who don't know what a computer is.

Great idea Tom, if I can be of assistance let me know... completely agree with Dave's comments regarding the open public forum too... a flyer/newsletter would be a great idea, and perhaps somekind of bulk email to everyone if a short-notice event occurs, or if any other information is required.

its something the 3 of you could do and work on together and combine your talents and energy, as its a bit of work for just one person to compile, I know Paul has mentioned a UK newsletter in the past but he like me doesnt have the spare time, add a list of useful UK and US contacts/suppliers its always useful

we could also upload any article to the website after being vetted wink, and allow just owners access with a password

Do we have a reasonably up to date list of email addresses already or will creating that be the first hurdle?

I have a feeling that Paul probably has a pretty up to date list...

Had a few more ideas for this, including adding a group list of numbers and email addresses for members of the group, so we can all keep in touch or get in contact if we need to, also we could include known useful suppliers such as Chuck and Paul Scharf, and any other useful contacts.

I have a database of all the club past members most don't contact me so I am not sure how up to date it is but its pretty good.
