Just some info on plastic polish...

When I got my sidescreen windows from the states they had some muck and light swirl scratching on the surface of them, (they were second-hand so this was to be expected)... After much research and deliberation I decided to give Meguiars PlastX a go as I had heard it was good for polishing plastics, (and apparently is good for soft-top type screens as well).

Excellent results! cleaned the screens up dramatically, and has brought back a really good shine and visibilty... Really pleased with the results. (Unfortunately proved rather difficult to take any photographs which showed any obvious changes, as lighting was difficult).

Apparently it is also excellent on headlights, rear clusters etc, basically anything of a clear plastic 'ilk'... Coloured plastics would also appear not to be a problem, my screens are tinted plastic and this certainly didn't cause any problems.

Going to give my fog lamp covers a go next!

the headlights have a clear UV laquar coating that protects the polycarbonate, from discolouration etc

go through the laquar, and it will be hard to repair
