Don't ask me why (that's half an hour of my life I'm not getting back!)... but I was watching an episode of 'Pimp my ride UK' the other night... The Yank version of the show is substantially more watchable... Tim Westwood! ... Don't even get me started!

Anyway, whilst filming the car in the workshop, they had a Yellow GTS with black stripes in the background of the shot in the workshop... Covered in dust and lord knows what else, looking really quite sad for itself...

Funnily enough, the car they did (which turned out to be a heap of junk before and after they'd finished)... is up for sale on Pistonheads... spotted on another thread...

I don`t think it was Bumblebee - the only time it has been away for repair was last year when an idiot skidded into the back of it while it was parked in a hotel car park. The bodyshop I used was in Camberley.

There is another yellow/black ACR that lives in Cornwall.

Thanks for the info Jan, maybe they'd hired in the other one for background... The garage that did the work is in Colchester Essex, according to the for sale ad... Was just extremely surprised to see the car in the background in the state it appeared to be in...

Got a feeling it was an unknown car, caught the program and thought it had Chrome wheels so its not an ACR, thought at first it might have been Ian's from Bodwin.

That was the one with the VW camper van, look out for the one with the Fiat Panda, thats got my old girl on it.

The car in question was a 2001 ACR and belonged to a chap called Nick from New Zealand,it was being repaired after he clipped the railings at the Nurburgring. The car spent a lot of time at that bodyshop as he was always abroad with work and never in a hurry to get it back.I think the car is now back in New Zealand.
