Just been sorting out all my old papers, brochures etc & getting organised, and found a brochure about the Autotronics Twin Turbo RT/10 (red). Going by the details in the brochure, this car is quoted at having 800bhp, top speeed in excess of 250, 750ft.lbs of torque, and a 0-60 of 3.5secs. The list of mods goes on.....

Did anyone ever buy the car (the last I remember of it must have been back in 2001), and was sufering from overheating issues IIRC, if so does it belong to anyone here? I'd love to see how things turned out, and if the owner wants the brochure I have, I can post it on....

Also, I've found a big thick book, a spare copy of the 1992-1994 8.0l Electronic Fuel Injection (SFI) Powertrain Diagnostic Procedures that I'd pass on to someone that wants it for their car.

Lastly I'm looking for a '94 RT/10 large owners manual (not the small owners handbook) if anyone has one, before I go order from the VCA. Any help available greatly appreciated.

Cheers

It was just so fast but no one ever saw it run...strange....and I don't remember it ever being tested.

Have a funny feeling it was all 'Smoke and Mirrors' anyone know otherwise????

I've been trying to work out the logic in the big black pad on the hood...

Clearly it's letting in a heck of a lot of dirt...

Or is it some kind of padded seat cushion for when the ladies are posing with the car?

Or maybe I'm just thinking too much... Maybe it's just to make it look like it goes faster because it's different... Or maybe so you don't spend too much time looking at the back of the car... I still can't get my head round that rear screen.

And why does it have the buttons for four electric windows on the dash?

I'm going to stop looking at it now... I'm getting a headache...
I hope it went as fast as they said it was supposed to...

I also saw this car at Silverstone at the Coy's Historic Festival in July 2000 - the year I decided to buy my Viper. It was a little bit grubby then with Gen I sill corrosion.

I've also got the full Press Release presentation pack and there are 5 lights on the dash (one is hidden by the steering wheel). From left to right they are for:

Blue - Main Beam
Red - Engine Warning Lamp
Red - Alternator lamp
Red - Handbrake lamp
Red - 4 way flash lamp

So nothing special and not for the windows! - though they were electric.

It also had ABS, traction control and a custom made intercooler, plus 2 TO4 Garratt Turbo Chargers fitted. Interestingly the roof looked like the soft top off a '93 but was in fact made of kevlar.

The dyno testing was claimed at 800bhp and 750 ft. lbs of torque. It was also claimed that it had been tested at over 200mph with a potential top speed of 250mph.

There was some allegedly dodgy dealing at one point and they tried to get Anji involved if I remember correctly. Not heard from the guy for a number of years.

I knew that memorabilia would come in useful one day!

looks a load of old hogwash to me, claimed figures are no good even in them days, bet they also claimed red was faster than yellow, though we actually know that would of been right smile
