But what a stupid thing to fail on!!!

Despite being in the country for 3 years it looks like the previous MOT examiners never spotted that the headlights are still adjusted for the USA.

Had a quick look through the service manual and it talks about adjusters, so looks pretty easy to fix.
Just wanted to check that their is sufficient adjustment to realign them for the UK or do I need some sort of conversion kit?

Thanks

IIRC and i haven't done it myself, to convert the headlights you have to remove the bulb assembly and turn it 90 degrees. I'm sure there are posts either on here or the VCA about it and i bet baz would know for sure.

They are easy to do....Done 4 SVA's now all first time passes as well...

Take the back cover off and look inside the headlight unit itself and you will see 4 tiny little screws some might have little spacers on them...
Undo them but sometimes you can get away with not removing them..
You will also see that the bulb holder will have a second position i believe its about a quarter turn..
they are marked up LH and RH i think....

theres only about 25mm of rotation between the two slots, they are marked L/G and R/D (on gen2)

did some light modding on monday with the help of Colin, upgrading the lamps to a 'bright white' and popping out the orange headlight indicator lense to give a clearer headlight (one of Spuds tricks) and then swapping the indicator lamps for the silver that light orange type,(£7 per peice from Halfords!)
