I'm not 100% positive about this, but I think you might be able to get it re-cored in the same way that a radiator can be done, I'm going to see if I can find out for certain, but I won't be able to find out until tomorrow... I'll come back to you...

Nigel, Sorry mate... Bad news I'm afraid, having discussed it with a couple of companies locally I'm told that due to the amount of pressure that an aircon system is under, they are not 're-coreable' (probably not a word), there was a company that they knew of which used to do it, but would never guarantee the work, for exactly that reason. Unless someone else knows of anyone that does it, then maybe a second hand unit might be an option? Paul Scharf may well be your man for something like that.
