The Beast is Back!!
Discussion
All day yesterday was spent putting everything back together, shall I actually fully remove the intake manifold before I start? I asked myself... Do I risk it?... I consulted the manual... looks pretty straight forward... went to my toolbox and pulled out a 70" Baz with a 3/8" torque wrench attachment and we went to work... (Everything even went back on the right sides Chuck! )
Replaced all the main hoses with Silicone, new 180' thermostat, couple of new sensors whilst there... put everything back together, filled her up, no leaks, fired up first time! Bit of a minor idling problem initially, but that seems to have sorted itself out... and BONUS!!! The temperature gauge works again!!!
Chuffed as nuts!!! Thankyou again Baz, I owe you one! I can't thank you enough for your help, it was really good to meet you and your family, and was really nice to see Amelia and Shelby playing so well together.
(Pics will follow in the next couple of days when I get round to taking them off the camera and work out how to post them up)
Looking forward to Silverstone in a couple of weeks!

I fret over mine all the time.
When I brought the car I had to wait in line to fill up at a petrol station and was horrified to see the temperature climb. I thought I had brought a car with a severe overheating problem, but then came that moment when the fan kicks in and down the temp goes.
Even now when in traffic I cannot help but sit and watch that temp gauge slowly climb up towards the yellow....
I guess one of you will tell me that by changing rads etc I could do something about it, but the temp climb is one way of reminding me just how big that lump is under the bonnet.
Hopefully I have the services of the main man, Baz this Saturday for a full baseline service.
I have also acquired a couple of other goodies from Roe Racing which I hope to get fitted, inlet tubes and air filters plus a high flow exhaust system which should seriously help improve the exhaust note from my stock car, plus a few more horsepower can't wait....
