Started a new thread so as not to confuse the ticket situation, but who from the south would be interested? Depending on numbers and locations we can decide on the best meeting point later but worst case would probably be the services on the M40 just south of Silverstone.

Yup, count me in Dave, definately up for a mini southern convoy!
yes

I'm not sure which route I'm going to take at the moment, but I will happily meet you wherever you think is best really?

My route will most likely be M23, M25, M40 so I can meet anywhere.

I'm most likely to go M27, M3, A34, M40... But I don't mind making a bit of a detour to meet up wherever...

My usual route would be to zig zag x-country to high Wycombe then up the M40, but its not much extra to go M4 then A34.so I don’t mind that route provided its not full of roadwork’s and traffic jams. Not been that way for a while though but on Map point it looks as if there is a service area at J13 M4 A34 where we could meet.

Phil how do you feel about M25 – M3 (pick us up at J3) through Bracknell – M4. Meet the others at the M4 A34 junction. Then up the A34 and maybe pick up the corvette lot at Cherwell if they are doing the same this year as last. We’d have to prize them away from costas though. (guess they need the caffeine for a kick)

Sounds like a plan!

Rob is only a couple of miles from me, so hopefully we can get together down here, and meet up with Steve Kingshott (Assuming he is still coming), then head on up and meet Dave & Phil further up at the A34/M4, I'm pretty sure there is a service station somewhere there, as you said Dave.

What time do you want to aim to get there Dave, and what time should we aim to meet up?
I'm not sure how long it will take to get to the M4/A34 from down here so we'll need to try and plan that from our end once we have a time to meet. (I haven't got my tickets yet, but I believe Paul is away at the moment so I will hopefully get them in the next few days).
I spoke to Steve Kingshott the other night, he will be travelling up separately, so it will just be Rob & I from down here

They would like us on site by 10:30 at the very latest thought the other lot would get there 10:00.

We are an attraction.

Map point has Silverstone at 50 minutes from the M4/A34 services so I guess if we are aiming for 10:00 arrival the same as the northerners and without stopping at Cherwell then we need to be leaving the services at about 9:00.

Map point puts the end of the M3 35 minutes south of the services so you need to be leaving Southampton around 8:15.

We are about 40 minutes from the services so Phil we need to meet at the M3 junction about 8:10.

If we want to make it a bit earlier so we can catch the GT4 I don’t mind but that may make a rather early start for Phil

Paul. Do we need a parking permit/centre pass? Last year we had a sticker for the windscreen to get into the centre.

Ps welcome back and did you have a nice hol

Change of plan we are all going to meet up around the M3 J3, give me a bit and I’ll find a suitable meeting place and email out updated timings and instructions.

Anyone else who was planning to meet but hadn’t said so on this tread had better PM me
