Viper club of America Members
Discussion
The UK viper hardcore is very small only around 25 members and doesnt really grow
with people buying and selling, compared to the US regions like CA which have over 300 members so any received membership fees (remember we dont have any) here wouldnt go very far, imagine the aggro and costs of running a UK club, with meetings, forms, accounts... MrL spends voluntry a lot of time on the phone, posting out things, writing up articles, paying for webspace etc
VCA membership is an easy alternative, cost me £23.68 for '07 that just covers the postage on the quartly viper mags we recieve, never mind the mag itself. With a few other perks like freebies, regular viper notes and being available to win a raffle £100K car, cant think of another car club that does that. It also gives you a chance to win cool monthly give away prizes in the 'members area' on the VCA forum, discount from the various supplier like Chuck and a few other benefits
Best part for me is through the VCA i've met a lot of interesting people all around the world, which would of been reduced if only a UK club. If you want a British club get cracking on it let me know when its ready and i'll join as well the VCA

I’d just like to say a big public thanks to Paul and all the others that set up events in the UK.
I can see where Tom is coming from WRT the VCA US as it can seem a bit of a closed club and when things go wrong many seem to find it hard to fix. So far I have not had any of those problems and just consider my £20 odd to pay for the magazine and to feel like I am contributing a bit to the VCA and all the good things they do do for us viper owners. I may feel different if I was paying full whack for the VCA in my own currency especially if I lived in a dead region, but I don’t and £20 isn’t bad for the mag, discounts, giveaways and being able to enter the raffles.
I guess the viper club is unique in being part of one of the biggest clubs and best associated with the manufactures whilst at the same time being very small and close knit at the local level.

I joined for the first time this year, (Kevin from Cambs) liked the mag that I got, but now I see that I should have got some other freebies, all I got was the plastic discount thingie, no keyring, but I do have an invite to Arizona to see the 08 Viper!!
Am I moaning, absolutley not, the mag is enough for me, good work Paul!

Your dead right Neil, unless UK Viper numbers rise trying to form a UK based Viper Club as alternative to VCA just isn`t going to happen, maybe one day, and yes if numbers were there I `d be happy to attempt setting up a Club thats got a Mag/Info just for UK members instead of a one liner about what UK region has been up to, if they decide theres room to print it.
My political views of America don,t help in this matter, as I don`t have a great desire to visit the US (apart from Bonneville) I don,t like the culture or the political fall out that the country spreads around the globe.
OUCH!
But we have more roads to drive on!
