Took her out for the first time in about 2 months!!
Discussion
I went into the garage last night and there she was....a sorry sight...
ECU removed... thick layer of dust over her, jacked up, running wonky...
She had been that way for 2 months collecting dust due to my hectic schedule and poofing about in my new porker. I could stand it no more!!
Finally got the old ECU plugged back in, got the wheel off, new battery plugged in and fired her up for the first time in what seemed like years!!! My god that roar from those new B&B cat-less exhausts and headers!! It was like armageddon in the garage!!
Two sets of neighbours appeared wondering what the hell was going on at 10pm at night!
The detonation was gone thanks to reverting back to the stock 99 PCM!! Bastard ROE PCM!! Wont be spending money on any of their parts again in a hurry!
second thing i noticed was the sheer size of the rear tyre as i wheeled her back onto the car!! Its massive!!!
I rolled her out the garage and decided to take her a wee spin to blow off the cobwebs (literally lol).
I forgot how much fun this car is!! My god i also forgot how fast this car is!! You can really feel the difference after removing those cats and putting the headers on. You can certainly hear the difference!! Overrun sounds like a gunfight going off!
I came back after 30 mins with the biggest smile on my face and decided to give her a full wash wax and polish!! So she is now restored to her former glory, running sweet and feeling powerful!! I cant wait to take her out again tomorrow
The drive back up the road in my new cayman felt pretty slow in comparison lol!

Just fitted the B&B headers and hi flow cats and I now have a slight exhaust leak some on the US forums say they need a bit of time to seal at the collector.
Question is did you find that to be the case and did you use the stock B&B gaskets.
Roe are great but if you speak to Dave beware he just works there and it shows took the Muppet some 10 days to actually pack and ship my order, and didnt even ship the extra instructions for the DRB tool that you need on the Viper....not impressed.
Glad you enjoyed the drive.

hey guys, i did try and speak to roe. I couldnt get to speak to Sean but the general reaction was that it had never happened before, which is bollox cos i found a thread on the alley where a chap in the states suffered from det after installing a ROE pcm. Once replaced with the stock pcm, the det disappeared. Anyway im not going to make a big deal because its pointless slating on the net.
The B&B exhaust system and headers i recieved required a bit of work. I found that although the system was good quality and well finished, the pipes from the header collecters back needed to be cut to fit as the car is running with no cats.
I did use the provided b&b gaskets but i used some wet n dry to smooth them slightly and rub down around the bores on the engine where the old header gaskets had left a slight sticky residue. I havent had any leaks yet but i have got a slight rattle from one of the pipes on the right hand side header. Think theres a little play in one of them so will need to fix that at the weekend. Other than that im pretty happy with the system. I would think that it would need to bed in slightly though like all systems.
