Seriously interested here.

Baz. Do the SRT wheels fit directly onto a Gen2 (bigger tires expected) or do they need spacers or anything else

Hi Dave,
You will need to re-do your alignment because of the differences in wheel size. The caster will need to be ajusted! scratchchin

Chuck, I’m trying to get my head around what the effect would be and by how much, from a tire size calculator the fronts will be about 2mm smaller diameter overall with 275/35R18 tires as opposed to the 275/40R17. This seems to fall within range of tread depth wear anyway so would it really make much difference.

I agree that the rears will see about 23mm extra diameter which could be more worrying but I’m not too concerned about the effect on gearing as I already feel the 3:55 rear end I have is too low so going to a bigger diameter would help reduce that a bit. But would the extra 11.5 mm of height on the rear effect the geometry enough to really worry about it?

On a more commercial level, how much would a set of centre caps and decent looking lug nut/nut covers, or whatever I need to make the centres look good, set me back?

think this guy did a quiet swop at this show last year, when the SRT owners weren't looking

there's quite a few photos of other examples on the VCA forum
