I am off this wednesday to spend the day in the Top Gear studio with one of our 2005 Mustang GT's. I received a call from the BBC last week asking if I could bring a mustang for a static shooting in the studio. They are reviewing the Shelby GT500 this sunday for those who are interested. I will give you all a wave !!

Is there any point in watching it, its going to be like the Viper and the Vett.

American cars don't handle interior is crap engine and gear change are bad and the plonkers put the steering wheel on the wrong side!!!!!!!

Its no longer a motoring program just three blokes spening our money on stupid games driving cars most of which we can never even see let alone afford.

For me last sunday was the last straw sensible item on level cossings and JC is prattling on about safety vests, pointless and not even funny.

Sorry should have added love the GT500

I'll definately be watching it! Really love the GT500, (was hoping to have a look at one at the Luton Lunch, I'll have to try and make it up there another time)...

Got to agree with Paul though... Much as the show is generally highly entertaining, I am starting to get a bit irritated by JC, and maybe I'm just getting old, (I am now in my thirties!) but they do seem to be spending a whole lot of money on absolutely senseless programming... What the hell must it have cost to have launched that Robin Reliant!? And... well... WHY???

Hey all,

Back from an interesting day at top gear. I had the vehicle locked at all times so no poking and prodding and no audience trophy hunters stealing bits. I stood beside it the whole time like security when the audince were in. Well the review will be fairly typical,They got there prices wrong, they said i Gt500 handeling wasn't great, Roush they said was good and they didn't say what great for money they are. The good the Shelby was 1min 30 sec round track and roush 1 min 28 nto bad for two cars that can't supposedly handle !!!Well above some cars at twice the price. The bad they put the shelby on a trailer rolling road and it came out at 440 odd hp not sure on this one as one of my customers put his vortech mustang on a similar trailer and came back saying 390 hp then put it on a proper workshop rolling road and got 478 hp as expected.

I did say to them if they need any advice on prices , engine sizes etc just to ask but they didn't. Watch ou for the opening section of the mustang I am the guy in the light blue shirt over richard hammonds left shoulder grinning constantly like an idiot.
