He's the story, Spud was running at RWYB Santapod this weekend sat and sun, thursday night back in Ireland final prepping is under way for the 1000 mile trip over, for some reason Skunk wont start ! Spud sets to finding the trouble after a several hours it seems the AEM management system is playing up and there's also a crank sensor knackered.. the time is now 3am friday morning Spud grabs just an hours kip as he has to leave at 5am to catch the ferry over to Scotland....

Luckily after a few phone calls it turns out Carl has a new AEM sitting the box so Spud makes his way down to Blackpool to borrow Carls parts and asks Nad to pick up a sensor from her local dealership, it's 8pm friday night I meet weary eyed Spud close to home and handover a couple of wheel and tyres knowing its still another 2 hours to Santapod in the Pikey van

Early sat am, the install of the borrowed AEM starts another small problem occurs, the CD thats need for the install is faulty, so its back to the hotel to for a crash course in wifi laptop connections for Spud and download the required info off the AEM website, its late sat afternoon Nad is on her way with the required crank sensor, Skunk still hasnt started and this day on the track is lost, Nad arrives with the sensor and thats fitted, Skunk fires up !

I popped down this morning 9am to see a huge car queue right past the toilet block its bloomin busy, busiest i've ever seen and no cars are running, Santapod vehicles are going up and down still preparing the track its neally 10.30am and the cars have just started running.... with a bike accident, some spillages, and to many cars Spud only gets 3 runs in all day, the first two doesnt make Joel smile low 11's but the final run at around 4.30pm Spud cracks off the line and squeezes a new club record of 10.353@146mph clap clap clap

a tough weekend Spud, but very well done my Pikey pal cool and thanks to Carl for lending his expensive kit out clap

Thanks for the write up Neil, but even with all the hassles it was a great weekend, made all the better by all the great company and help I got. I couldnt have been there without everyone pulling together to help me out. Michael for helping to diagnose the problems and work with me for hours to get everything ready, Stevie for being a wifi expert, Nad for setting a new land speed record into Bristol to get a throttle position sensor in time, Carl for donating his AEM ecu to replace the faulty one( I'll get you a new one asap), Bjorn for the first class catering( the best fillet steaks this side of Gordon Ramsey) and lastly but not leastly to Neil for pushing the Skunk in the pitlane till the sweat broke and ran down that extra high forehead of his......reminded me of Niagara falls

And in addition to all that, great weather, an improvement on my time and speed, some great consistent runs by Bjorn, and an absolutely cracking time by Stevie in his Granada....amazing thumbup

All in all an excellent way to round off the season Heres to next one.
