Crashed at about 280mph at Elvington in York....

I wonder why they didnt use Santapod since they were running 1/4's, the barriers and better track surface would surely of helped

I read the article on the top gear website yesterday which mentions the 1/4 mile runs, its a little more in depth than the BBC news article with an interview with a fire/rescue marshall on the scene
