took the heads off today, not as difficult as i thought, but smashed two socket extention bars undoing the head bolts!!! they were ******* tight!
the bolts on the intake manifold were remarkably loose ! some were hardly finger tight! if i am rained off the golf course in the morning,i'll spend the morning cleaning everything up ready for assembly.
i understand the torque settings are different for the new head gaskets can you let me know the setting please, also is there a two stage tightening sequence?
cheers

Hi Steve,
With the new steel head gaskets [GENI's] the torque is done in three stages. This is in "foot pounds": 60-90-120 If you need any other help doing your gaskets, don't hesitate to get a hold of me!

Cheers
Chuck
