Just a little info/reminder re the GenII Viper Frame recall as I was a bit concerned checking out 2 recently sold UK Vipers (that were being driven on the track, competitively) ...their owners were not aware or even informed of the important 998 recall! I have been told on enquiry that dealers will honor the recall on UK or outside UK supplied Vipers(!?) If you track your car this recall should be done ASAP! Luckily there were no cracks (...yet...) on the 2 I looked over at the track, and the '99 black RT/10 (brown int) is only due the front steering cross member area frame mods (has the rear factory weld frame mod; change year being 99). The '97 was sold though a dealership, which is part of a chain of dealers with a Chrysler dealership! ...Owners be aware!

Sadly some dealers have screwed up on the recall; I'd recommend Lee (sorry only only know your name as Lee...perhaps you can post reply here?) has done several over here now to a good standard, his dealership is in Tonbridge Kent, and can be contacted on 07836 335334 (he is also a owner/driver).

Yes.....worth mentioning.

We've done many, our guy is factory trained on all things Viper and has been with us for as long as I can remember, certainly well before Viper came along. He's a very skilled welder and takes pride in what he does. He's the only person other than me that's driven mine.

The welding under these cars in generally poor so it's worth getting it all checked out...not just the recall areas.
