I notice in this quarters 'Viper' magazine, that Michelin have launched a new PS2 version of the original fit tyre especially for the Viper.

I need new rears and CostCo can suppy these for £299.37 inc. VAT & fitting. This is £11 more than the original PS tyres.

Question is, which should I go for as the cost difference is negligable? Has anyone in the UK or US (Chuck?) got any experience with the PS2 tyre and is it better? I'm assuming it is with a much more modern design.

Any thoughts appreciated...

Had them fitted at Costco today, who relieved me of £1,108 eek

Have to say Costco are very good - professional and clean workshop with knowledgeable guys. They really took their time and were careful.

PS2's are very nice to drive on - much softer in feel and good grip. However, I don't like the profile as much - they are much rounder on the edge which makes them look weird.

It's because the side walls are stiffer for better handling and responsiveness. I have these tires on my '96 GTS Coupe and I cannot wait to take them to the track and test them out around the twisties.

They just started to offer these tires in 18" wheel diameters.
