Does anyone know how UK emmisions standards compare to those of CA? In other words, will a car that passes Cali emmisions tests be guaranteed to pass in Britain also?

Was your GTS standard or modded? Especially, did it have high flow cats when you imported it? Cheers.

High flow cats will not effect the emmissions, removing the cats will. Biggest problem you will have if it needs an SVA is noise, as I do beleive it needs to be below 102db if it has high flows then it may have a modded exhaust.

Best bet is bring bak a couple of Vortex Cones for your car these swirl the gas and lower the noise level Jon B stocks them at Partsrack.

SVA centres are known for lack of consistancy mine measures 104db but they never even did a noise check.

All UK cars (SRT10) have an extra silencer in front of the rear valance.....wonder how much power that saps????

My car's a 1996 RT-10 so it shouldn't need an SVA. But it's got a Corsa exhaust which isn't too loud.

After 10 yrs old all you will need to do is get an MOT so the exhaust should be fine..
Mine has the full Borla inc HF cats and headers and passes OK....

Even with the cats deleted, my 94 Viper still passed the MOT emission test.
