Dodge Ram srt10 or 5.7hemi

Looked at both and choose the Rumble Bee as some people told me horror stories about less than 10 to the gallon on the motorway
I have had 20 out of mine on a run and get about 14 mpg around town.
Only tip is try to find one that has leather seats (not a factory fitment)as the cloth is just so 1970's.

10mph mmm thats a bit much even for me... could be why there are a couple of them at around the 20k mark !!!
I must admit im more of a v8 kind of chap anyway there is a rumble bee on ebay at about 16k (cloth) and another with leather on autotrader for 16+vat both 2004.
anything to look out for on these things, and whats it like getting hold of spares and upgrades. i.e. i fancy either a hard cover for the pickup bed, or there is an srt-10on ebay with a nice hardtop....
cheers

Had SRT 10 Ram RC, thats the manual, Roe Race tuned 500 at the wheels and gave me average 15mpg over the tank. Thats giving it some at every opertunity! On a longer run you`ll see 18- 20mpg. I dont think thats bad. Please don`t confuse an SRT with a Rumble Bee, there nice but there not really close. If you have the $$$, SRT it is.
Exhaust + good tune = vast improvment!
Graham......Used a 5.7 while I was waiting for the SRT to turn up (Both QC)
The 5.7 rides much better if you're into the cruising stuff.....It's just so compliant over the bumpy british roads. Give it some welly on the corners though and you run out of lock and the engine is weezy up against the 10. But as I say a much nicer machine to tootle around in.
The SRT has harsh suspension by comparison and the rear can sometimes hop across the road on a corner......not nice. However...awesome power and noise not to mention road presence. I've only done 2500 miles but I'm getting 15 doing a mixture of school runs and bit of motorway. (Dont forget to add 21% to whatever the OBC tells you)
Get the SRT...you know it makes sense.

Viper Paul....
Dont be so sure. I had one from the lights a while back. The F150 is a bit lighter and has a bit more traction from standing start.
I will admit that once 60-70 is hit then the SRT will start to reel the F150 in though.
What is the standing 1/4 time for a standard SRT 10?
