Gearbox trouble

Evening All,

My Viper went in the other day to have the rear crank seal and gasket replaced due to an oil leak. Thankfully the oil leak has now stopped, but a new problem has come about. When driving, if i let off the throttle it likes to come out of gear. It seems to only be doing it in 2nd, 4th and 6th. Any ideas why and how it can be fixed? Cheers Guys and Gals.

Could be the 'throw' of the shifter is out of adjustment and not allowing full engagement of those gears.

Craig, was this problem there before you took her in to get the oil leak fixed? I've never heard of that many gears popping out!! Something else is wrong: shifter, trans not installed right??

No the problem wasn't there before it went in to get fixed. I'll be taking it back, but was hoping you guys could shed some light on it first. It pops out of 4th pretty easy, 2nd and 6th aren't as bad, but still comes out of them now and again, does this help?

Does it have a B&M shifter????

Gear lever does have adjustment stops on each side for four positions and clearance is needed between all four stops.

No clearance= it will jump out of gear and or wear the selectors.
