having the oil and filter changed next week down in tonbridge, it says in the service manual 9.5 litres (10 quarts) is required, I thought it was more than that ?

I usually figure on about 9 litres, but start checking level on the stick at about 8 litres. Usually leave it just a bit below the max mark. Remember 2000(?) on has bigger oil pan.

Early RT/10's are 9.0 litres (9.5 Qts) including the oil filter. So looks like the GTS is slightly more.

I usually get about 8-9 Qts in the 97 but i think the later ones have a bigger sump and 10 qts sounds familiar,

first time my one took 8 and it ended up just below the full marker.
oil change is now due so I will double check it.

9.5L includes the oil filter, going with the correct oil grade 10-30
and a Mobil1 fiter this time, instead of the Mopar filter

I can tell you pin number 8 of 32 of the powertrain contol module (C1)
on circuit K24 looks after the crankshaft position sensor signal

now not a lot of people know that

ah but not knowing what voltage it should be is no better than knowing the engine needs oil but not how much

92 to 96 Gen1s 10 US Qts
96 gen 2 to 99 gen2 is 8.5 US Qts inc filter
00 Gen2 to 02 Gen2 is 10 Qts
