Anyone know this Viper?

Guys,

Looking at chopping the 996 in for a Viper. A cursory look on Autotrader reveals some really inconsistent pricing for GTS cars. There's a 2000 model black car with 11,000 miles for 33,490, then a 98 car for 38k (same garage also have a car similar to the black one mentioned above for circa 43k). Am I missing something?

The 2000 black car looks really nice and is about the maximum I want to spend although the garage selling didn't inspire me with confidence when I called them yesterday. Does anyone on here know the car or its history? Its the one at Sales Assistance.

Also is there any other places to look for Vipers apart from PH and autotrader?

recall there is a 2000 black is an ACR as well, which is good, just make sure it has A/C though

The other at £33K does have the tan interior which is an aqquired taste not my thing I think thats rather nasty looking

vipers are always pretty hard to find in the UK

you could try bigviper, he's selling his GTS though he wont be interested in a p/x

Just googled ACR.

Says ACR model doesn't come with air con. Was it an option that could be specced?

Spoke to Atlantic sportscars yesterday. Nice guys. Their black GTS is about £10,000 more than this one. Does this mean the Sales Assitance car is a steal or a pup? It does look lush.

the ACR (american club racer) is slightly different from a standard GTS, it came with adjustable suspension, smooth tubes on the air box, an extra 10hp,
and BBS wheels, no stereo

A/c is required even in the UK they viper is a hot car ! they did a 'comfort package' as an optional extra at the factory which included A/C and a stereo. I bet it has A/c as there wasnt many made without it

No BBS wheels judging from the picture so perhaps its not. There's an ACR on autotrader with more miles for 40k. I just don't get these prices.

The one at 33k i think only has stripes but not on the nose/bumper and has been on the market for a long long time..

As these cars get older there is less value based on year. It's down to colour preference and as always low mileage is king. From my experience these cars don't wear particularly well unless cherished all their lives. Rare colours don't add value unless desirable.

Beware...there are plenty out there that run on Chum.

The ACR gent (who also posts on here apparently) has already had a change of heart and doesn't want to sell.

Once bitten and all that...

Still leaves the Black 2000 at Sales Assistance. 2000 with 11k on clock for that money seems good to me. Still no one know where this came from? Any previous owners from days gone by still hanging here?

Thanks, viper - with a postcount like that I would say so!!!

That would be superb. Would be great to get the opinion from someone who knows good viper. Like I said it looks like it might be right and is around the price I would ideally want to pay but would not really know what to look out for.
