Over the last couple of years Lord Kingshott has funded the Viper stand at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, but he is sadly unable to continue to do this. Steve has sent to me the application forms for this years event and it would appear that dependant upon size of stand that the cost is around £400 - 500 per car (includes car parking passes and entry but excludes Hotel costs) for the whole weekend.

It would be great if we could get a selection of SRT10, RT10, GTS, possibly a rumblebee on the stand.

Is anyone else interested in participating?

I will assess the level of interest at the end of February and then make the appropriate application.

Regards,

Phil

I look forward to hearing from you

Well the response has been overwhelming.......now I know how a fart in a space suit feels!

Speaking to Sir Steve K, he informs me that he has sold his Justin "Timberlake" Bell car and the purchaser intends to raffle it, he has suggested that he would pay for the Goodwood stand if he was able to sell his raffle tickets from it.If Goodwood does not raise objections would anybody be interested if it was free!
An ideal weekend for the International poseur?

just checking work diary..and i could come along - if we get enough interest. Not sure I believe "free"; so would need to understand a bit better about how this would work.

cheers

I don't see why Steve or anyone else should have to pay to be at GOS, espicially when we arent selling anything but providing something else for members of the public to look at and fill the space.

The last club space cost well over £2000 with liability insurance, which is a lot for x5 cars and espicially when we arent selling anything. Add all the other costs such as hotels (which of course shoot up) 4 days taken up of your hols, etc and costs soon mount.

Maybe this accounts Phil for the lack of response, personally this kind of thing is wearing thin for me to many years at it, there's already to many park and chat to the public type events, i find myself going just to meet the viper crowd and not to interested in chatting to the majority of the public
