This came through on Monday morning from the Sweden club. I must admit I really fancy going, the weekend should feature:-

Drag Racing
An Autocross
Poker Run

Not sure of what anyone fancies but from my house its 986 miles so a two day drive through France, Belgium, Holland, Germay, Denmark over one of the biggest bridges in the world into Sweden.

or

Ferry there and drive back, however the ferry journey is 19 hours to Hamburg or 35 to Gottenberg and I reakon I could do it on five tanks of gas

Any takers, so far just two SRT10's...........go on you know you need the seat time.

Dear brothers (and sisters?) in United Kingdom,!

This is an invitation for your members and their companions to participate in the biggest Swedish spring-meet ever, exclusively for Viper owners,

The meeting will take place in Gothenburg in 19—21:th of May with focus on social gathering with people with the same interests.

We will start the meet on Friday evening with a garden barbecue. On Saturday we show the population our vehicles by driving around in the city, performing easy tasks and skills. Some asphalt-playing in the afternoon before the evening dinner party. Nachspiel in a famous night-club. See all the details on the following pages!

All arrangements are taken care of. For example:
• staying in a luxury hotel with a nice SPA-department (for our ladies: bubbles in the drinks and bath)
• booking necessary ferry-service
• secure parking during night
• guaranteed friendly welcome
after this, meeting long-lasting friends (which probably will visit you the following summers).

Price for 2 nights on hotel, 2 dinners, 1 lunch and night-club entrance about 1800 SEK/person (approximately £130 or €190).

Ferry prices can be found on www.dfdsseaways.com/DSWllntl/DestinationsAndRoutesl

So what are you waiting for? Grab your steering-wheel and head for Gothenburg this spring. You will only regret staying home’ It all starts with your registration to Springmeeting/viperclubnordrc se

Hope to see you soon,

Viper Club Nordic

sounds like a similar route Clarkson did in the McLaren SLR Paul, he took in some Autobahn on the way. Wonder how quick a full SRT tank would empty ??, think Clarkson said the SLR's would last just 19 minutes on full trottle

If you didnt fancy such a long drive there is a ferry direct to Oslo then just travel south to Gothenburg, though driving would be better

You could take the Harwich to Ejsberg (spelling?) in Denmark ferry which leaves about 7 p.m. and arrive the following morning about 11 a.m., then drive across Denmark (over the bridge/tunnel) into Sweden.

Jan and I did it a couple of years ago in the Z06 and there are about 3 fantastic bridges in Denmark plus the one over to Sweden which is more tunnel than bridge. However when we did it the weather was awful so didn't see anything from the bridges. They are also very expensive (about £20 each bridge).
Much easier than driving all the way which is what we did on the way back, after Jan was very sea on the way out!

How do we go about booking the hotel?
I will look into ferry sailings from Newcastle to Holland and meet up with you all there, any ideas on how many UK vipers are making the trip.

speedferries.com are showing return prices of just £60 50 minute crossing, takes you to Boulougne just below Calais, or £100 by eurotunnel for fairly decent times times

Hi V21Viper,

The rough plan at present is for us (three Vipers) to cross on the Chunnel as its a bit quick then travel north stopping for the night somewhere in northern Germany.

We are hoping to meet up with a German and French conyoy at the Hotel, if they wish to join us then travel through Denmark into Sweden. for us it will be a 2 day drive out and two day back.

Three bridges in the clouds to cross total mileage from my house in Hertfordshire 986 so loads of

its tempting for the roadtrip and swedish ladies making bubbles, don't want to get involved in drag or autocross. My only prob at mo is I am scheduled to be in NY..i'll see if i can change schedule.
