congrats Yorkie Boy thats a quality RT you've aqquired !

collecting it many moons ago from Bournemouth in a brief shower on the motorway with
no roof or windows at the time was even a pleasurable moment for me,
(even though I didnt know how to turn the wipers on)
expect you felt the same on saturday, have you stopped grinning yet ?

Cruising around Lemans in glorious sunshine
I'll always fondly remember that to, even had the roof off

though its recently had a slightly 'dodgy' owner
did Fishboy tell you about the skip shift, the best way to look after the wheels, as they are polished without clearcoat/laquar and what to do if you
lock your keys in the boot?

viper headlights are pretty crap unless you've got the HID's like Baz, just pull the lever towards you to flick the main beam on/off

the 'skip shift' feature is fitted to all vipers its supposed to be economy device, basically if slowly accellerate from stand still and you arent giving enough revs when you go to change into 2nd gear its locked out, you then normally go into fourth. You get a orange arrow on the dash when this happens, try it next time your out. I find it a pain though it can be manually disabled or just give the accelerator a push does the same thing. First time it happens youll wonder whats going on

as you probably know the OE wheels are made of aluminium and leave the factory painted silver, I had the paint stripped and then had them highly polished for a different look. The company who did the job didnt recommend laquaring them afterwards, as the laquar would have nothing to grip to and they couldnt guarantee it would last. So I left them natural which is fine as long as any moisture/rain is dried off after a run. I noticed a couple of weeks ago when visiting Atlantic they had gone pretty dull/flat and told fishboy to clean them up ASAP I could tell they had got wet and been left. They should shine like chrome, with a bit of hard elbow grease they will sparkle once again, the recommended product is 'Silvo' made by duraglit, a silver polish wadding. If you want to try this stuff let me know my local hardware place still stocks it, I think. Once polished back up always dry them off after washing or if you get caught in the rain and they will remain shiney

will send you a PM about the key in the boot, if you lock your keys in the boot there is a way of getting in
