I use Adsil a silicon mould release agent from Duckhams but you can try WD40.

If the bushes are rubber, then you want to avoid getting any form of oil on them.

Here in the States, I use "RuGlyde", it's a rubber lubricant and it's also used for mounting & demounting tires. Ask one of your tire shops what they use. DON'T use WD-40!

Chuck why no WD40??? used it on all my Vipers every year for the winter spruce up on chassis suspension and wheel arch covers ???

Never needed new bushes and the suspension looked as good as the day it rolled off the production floor.

BTW Adsil is also recomended for window rubbers it was a rubber mould release agent especially for electric windows lubrication.....so I doubt it effects rubber but it is no longer available from Duckhams...showing my age.

Just my 10 cents.

Hey Paul,
WD-40 is a petroleum bass product and the bushings do not have neoprene in them! A little wont hurt them but if you where to soak them all the time, they WILL start to deteriorate!
