I'm planning on taking my 1996 RT-10 back to the UK in the New Year. I'm wondering what it's market value is over there. Some info:

White w/ blue stripes
19k miles
Engine rebuilt 3000 miles ago with mods:
Corsa cat-back exhaust system
High flow cats
Headers
Roller rockers

It's in absolutely mint condition, kept garaged and covered and has never been out in the wet. Any ideas? I'm thinking in the region of £35k.

Interesting question as it would be one of only two in the UK in that colour and the other needs a bit of TLC.

IMHO 35K it would not sell with stock weather equipment 30K possibly.

35K would also put it in the GTS price range and with the climate in the UK a GTS is a much more attractive car.

If you have the HM roof and side windows in glass then 32K it would be a go.

My advice would be bring it back with a roof or you will regret it later, I lived with an RT/10 for only a year without a hardtop.

And if you are bringing it back to make a profit then don't there are a lot of un sold RT/10's for sale at the moment.

Just my 10 cents.

Paul's got it bang on, if you want to sell somewhere around 30, if you can wait a while you may fall lucky and get a 2 more, hardtop and windows would aid a sale

this is a must buy if your after one
www.themotorbookstore.com/viper-buyers-guide.html

1996 rt
length 175"
width 76"
height 44"

the softop IMO is a bit of a joke, find one with a hardtop and glass windows if you can, the softtop looks pretty ugly and useless at keeping the rain out, they also double up as a kite at speed.

in 96 sliding lockable hard-plastic windows replaced the soft zip up windows, so I guess you've seen a car with the soft top. If you go back ask the owner to put the roof on

Aftermarket companies at first brought out clip on roof, and various windows some lexan others in glass which also clip in

Remeber the trip to Lemans, all the wet guys with softops hanging on at the back pottering along

probably about 25-27k in the uk, a GTS is more desirable

Interesting comments, thanks. The car's got a hard top (and soft top) but has the standard windows. I should have probably waited to buy a GTS but I didn't have the patience! Depending on how long I'm in the US, I may swap it for an early GTS. I'll need 6 months to avoid the tax and duty when shipping it back though.
