Last year i bought myself a 1999 gts and had heffner mod the car a bit and the engine a lot,
it went up to 510 ci.
its got the ross racing pistons
a wilder cam from competetion cam
heads ported and redone with r &d rockers
the only thing that remained stock was the crankshaft
as it took to long to get one (8 Months) but was
shaved?, not to much of a mechanic, and the whole lot blueprinted.basicly a 700 package.

the problem only is that the car puts out more than a bit of black smoke and according to the Sean Roe software the engine is getting toomuch fuel,

now i ordered the vec-2 from sean roe and would like it to be installed and programmed by a pro.
according to sean roe brookspeed could handle this and
question is , anyone here have experience with brookspeed , i looked at their site and seem to have enough experience.
anyone?

thanks in advance

Frank

I very much doubt Brookspeed have even heard of a VEC2, not even sure they are still in business ? they havent raced prepped vipers for some years. I havent heard of even of one UK member dealing with them

There's only a handful of UK vipers running the VEC2 so no knowledge with tuners I'm afraid, they have been DIY installs. From what I've heard installing the VEC2 is the easier part of the job, (I suppose any auto electrician could install it) getting it setup correctly and running right seems the much more difficult task

think the VEC2 was made in Sweden (autorotor?), have you thought about asking there ?

Vec 2 fitted and tuned by www.dyno-tuning.com,(click on gallery) here by me in Bromsgove, Worcestershire. Was fitted to my Ram SRT10, puts down 490 / 515 rw.They run the UK`s only Dynojet, which is what Roe Racing recommend and use in thier shop. First they`ve done, took 6 hrs, but real happy with the tune. I guess they learned a lot on mine, so your tune should be simpler. Good guys- Hamish the owner with Adam technical. Tell them I sent you ! Let us know how you get on.
