I'm sure lots of ppl have seen this but I thought I'd post anyway.

anyway, i think this is a really good test. Performance depends on a multitude of factors, eg. track, driver, weather, ambient temp., altitude, tyres, timing system, etc etc....
What I find amazing with the venom viper in this test was that it was a convertible soft-top, running road tyres (Michelin Cupsports), on an aircraft runway (probably less grip than a specially prepped drag strip), using GPS timing (said to cause the loss of a few tenth of a sec. compared to drag strip ET timing) and running into a 15mph headwind.
All this was reflected in the relatively unimpressive 1/4 mile time - 11.0s but the accel. after that was simply phenomenal
It was also fastest at the mile and quickest (bar the champ car) compared to a good bunch of supercars, racecars and even a superbike tested at the same time and place.
And the times were also raw, uncorrected times.

210mph over the standing mile isnt to shabby
the test/article has been all over the US forums, but hasnt been mentioned here
Hennessey can certainly make a viper go when he wants to, 11.0 second 1/4 shows the driver was really struggling for grip off the line, I guess afterwards they wished they didnt take the air filters out
