Guys,

Im an utter car enthusiast and Ive just sold my Tuscan what a beast it was, I here you all say nothing compared to the Viper...

Anyway get my new pride and joy tonight an E39 M5 but as soon as I get my new car I start researching next years toy.

My car is usually my daily driver aswell so please could someone give me some info on Vipers eg, mpg the good and bad figures, sevicing costs , service intervals anything that might be usefull to me.
What to look out for when buying second hand, any weaknesses the car may have.

Any picture off your pride and joy i would appreciate aswell for my archives.

Many thanks

Clive

MPG is easy enough, 10MPG with your foot down, 20MPG at around 70 on a motorway, so guess mid teens around town (same as many 4x4's). Can't think of any differences you'll notice between TVR & Viper as daily drivers, except Viper's are better made with everything fitting together better. Reliability is good, obviously later cars will have more problems fixed. In the 7 months I've had my Viper SRT10, so far my air con has packed up and the passenger air bag warning light flashes on occasionally. Other than that, I've covered 2500 miles in US, 2500 miles in Europe, and around 2000 miles in UK, no other problems. Car gets hot in traffic on a hot day, but the cooling systems handle it fine (unlike my TVR, which starts to overheat as soon as you slow down, and my local TVR garage seem to think it's a 'characteristic').
