Just changed the original battery after 7 years and realised the dealer hadn't given me the code for the Alpine standard-fit radio/cd. Tried Chrysler(it is a UK model) but they don't keep records. Anyone know the best (cheapest) way to get the code please ?

Mine did not have a code either.

If it is coded then Chrysler can help if they can be bothered, the just give the serial number to Alpine and they look it up on the database.

However I understand that most if not all the GTS range have non coded radio's.

If Chrysler is anything like Jeep, the dealerships cant supply the code direct. They need to contact HQ.

I did this a couple of months ago with a OE radio through Lee's dealership (Whitehouse - cheers Lee!) giving VIN and serial number off the radio Lee supplied me with the code.

You could just get it de-coded and have and new code re-installed a decent radio place can do that for you for around £20. There's a companys ebay supplying this service, you post your radio off to them

OK everyone, I'll hold my hands up to this - no code required as most of you said. Just me presuming again.
Thanks for all the replies.
