Help needed - Gen 1 squealing
Discussion
Coming back (very slowly I have to add) from a trip last night my Gen I (Bling) started to squeal when engine revs went above 1000-1200rpm. Limped home very slowly and had a quick look under the bonnet.
Main pully belt looks OK. The power steering still seems to work. Do you think it's the water pump or has anyone got any other ideas what the problem might be.
:weeping:
Thanks
Nigel G

Sounds like belt slip or something is stuck or nearly seized causing the belt to slip.
Me thinks take off belt inspect belt fully and spin all pullies (except crank unless your Tarzan).....you checked the PS pulley, fluid especially????
