On my way back from the BBQ we popped in to see John and his car. It may be a personal opinion but Kat and I loved the car. He has done a great job. Can't wait to see it completed (only a couple of bits to finish) and out in the sunlight.

By the way, it may be up for sale!!!! Too many toys or something. I can't understand that.

And it was all going so well as few months ago!
What the hell happened?
Looks like the interior"s been put together by.... Ray Charles and Stevee Wonder, with help from Ronald McDonald....I,m sorry for any upset caused but man....that interior is just a total mess! What on earth were you taking at the time John...mate...!!!Now I,m know doctor but trust me on this one putting together the interior of a Viper when taking large amounts of speed,LSD and Hash will cause your "creative side" to run wild!!That interior is just FAR OUT MAN!!
I just can,t stop looking at it!...it,s got a hippnotick effect!!Like I can,t believe my eyes!
Kinda like "BUCK RODGERS IN SPACE" isn,t it!
Ahh!!!!It,s soooooooWILD!,and yet anyone who knows John will see him as a very grounded kinda guy!
Now it,s all coming out!!I don,t want to even think about what Johns bedroom looks like!!!!What a dark horse you are.....You naught!naughty, naughty, naughty man you!

not sure if I should or I never have been one to "hold back" on Pistonhead but man,I don,t care what spin people put on that interior, its NOT GOOD! Anyone who buys a Viper looking like a badly trimmed kit car is gonna get some SERIOUS grief when they park it up.Sorry but its a MASSIVE thumbs down from me.(he says from the safety of 14,000 miles away!).
Thought the GTS/R Comp Coupe looka like air vents were a nice sporty touch!,the XJ6 gauge layout a nice retro touch, the fuse box brings a fusion of extra colour and the carbon/plastic combo dash a touch of pure class!
(But everyone to there own and full credit for bringing the car back to life great work, but sort out that dash!)

It,s times like these that make Pistonheads so worth while!
It,s so clever how you can doctor digital pics these day, nice one Colin, you had me going for a bit!I mean would YOU want to sit behind a dash looking like that!Only if you have a fetish for Jags I guess?

I,m going now.....will say no more on the matter! But some Honest comments from other would be intersting, and no ball....I DARE YOU ALLI know your all dieing to comment?

Where's the real dash, that one is a trashboard not a dash board, sorry but that is a real mess, at least it matches the rest of the car which appears to have been put together by a plumber (perhaps Mario), hence the color scheme I suppose.

Sorry but this is my opinion, some may love it, perhaps
a Trabant owner?

I can't believe you guys actually like the plain plastic dash that the Americans designed for the Viper. They made a really nice exterior and seamed to forget about the interior. At least John is trying to brighten it up.

some of you may not know John brought the car as a RT/10 insurance write off with no interior, it had been totally destroyed due to fire, there was absolutely nothing left !! Replacing the interior with even used OE parts would be VERY expensive and I bet due to costs would of made the restoration not a worth while project. Not many people would of taken it on.

As well a adding his own touch, John has converted the car to a right hand drive and adding a GTS roof section

The viper was already right hand drive which made the parts even harder to get hold of..
Fair play to putting it back on the road.

Fair play John for getting it back together!A project most would turn from and to bring it back to life as a GTS to boot!!
No boring O/E interior trim for this car!
I,m sure John can see the funny side!(Can,t you?)
And as for sheep! Don,t knock it unless you,ve tried it
We all know (unless your a bit thick) that most comments said on Pistonheads are a bit of fun so CHILL OUT GUYS!
Seems to me John,s very laid back about it all and most know me well enough to be aware that I love "stiring things up a bit" from time to time
(For what it,s worth it think what John had done with the car is very very impressive, just sorting out the wiring loom that was burn,t out doesn,t bear thinking about, let alone all the other bits and bobs, awesome job John....no harm meant)
