typical 'santapod' weather, cloudy en-route then drizzled all morning on and off, track time was delayed, the track was constantly wet it finally stopped raining at around 3pm just when the qualifying sessions were over.... N and Spud only managed to get in 5 wet laps each tippy toeing around, they couldnt accellerate and brake so not good, with a quite a few rear end movement moments
The organisers ran a short track not using the fastest part of the banked track, just as well surprisingly there was only a couple of spin offs all day.
The fastest 15 cars (escort cosworth was fastest qualfying) nearly all 4x4's went into a final, late into the afternoon the track had then finally dried
and they all got about a 30 min practice session on the 'full' circuit, which looked more like racing.
They then ran indivual hot timed laps, not sure of the full results but the new 911 GT3 RS's looked quickest to me, the smaller 4x4's had lost their wet track advantage. Ashame the weather held back the vipers after all the effort and expense again to get there once again.
It was a well organised event considering it was the first time it had been run, with lots of cars competing, car clubs parking and spectators etc. There was also a drifting competion being run on a different part of the track. I'm sure this will be become a huge event, similar to TOTB in the future.
