1999 Viper GTS

Hi all. Located in London. I’m a friend or Zubair Khan.

My clutch has suddenly gone loose overnight.

Checked reservoir was empty.

Filled up tried bleeding. Won’t bleed still very loose.

Had a mechanic put on ramp and says the gearbox has fluid leaking around it

Slave cylinder ?

Any help would be appreciated. I’m new and don’t know a lot about the problem

When your mechanic says the gearbox has fluid around it, can you tell me EXACTLY where?
Is it leaking from the Bottom of the flywheel cover? or leaking from the braided tube that connects to the slave cylinder from the master cylinder?

Top tube is the Bleed tube, (You crack the head head nut and loosen while depressing the clutch pedal, then tightening it when clutch pedal reaches the floor.
Keep repeating process keeping an eye on the clutch fluid level in the small reservoir

You will have to disconnect the propshaft, Make sure you mark the position the the rear diff coupling.
remove Gearbox, Gearbox crossmember bellhousing bolts and disconnect the fluid line to the clutch slave cylinder.

Gearbox and bell housing is heavy so take care in removal and refitting.
New clutch slave cylinders available through Rock Auto. USA.
How many miles on the clutch?
