I am looking to see where to take my GTS for its MOT, which is coming up during July. Any suggestions, or where have others taken theirs.

cheers

where abouts?

I think you are around this way though so Ravenscroft in Fleet do mine and never had any problems, I watch them like a hawk though

North east Hampshire is probably a bit too far for an mot then. Ravenscroft don’t know diderley about vipers but then for an MOT they don’t really need to. It is far more important that they realise you know more about it than them and they listen to you and respect your car.

Look for an independent and ask them if they can accommodate the 335 tyres on their ramps, tell them it has a LSD and is very low so can not be put on the brake rollers, because of this they will probably need to take it for a drive to test the breaks, if your still not 100% comfortable with them, ask to go with them. If they react well to these questions you may be onto a winner as they are listening to you. If they have the attitude of we're the spanner monkeys we know what we are doing, move on.

If you can take a lesser pride and joy car in for an MOT and watch how they treat it, if they respect your run around they will be overjoyed to get to MOT something special like a viper and will take care of it.

Above all when they do the MOT, watch them, you are entitled to but by this stage hopefully you are engaged in conversation about the viper with the tester and are underneath it with them.

BYW I’m assuming you are looking for somewhere that will treat you car well and it will have no problems genuinely passing. i.e. no probs if they emission test it....
