Hi just interested in everyone's opinion on the Viper brakes. Did a trackday on Saturday and found the brakes to be very poor, they locked up a few times (locked up very easy) and the car was very twitchy under braking.
The disks on mine are grooved and i am assuming they are standard. Anyone change the standard brakes?

The viper is heavily biased to front braking, its really hard to get the rears to lock up on the street
and on the track too I'd imagine.
The braking is OK for me for road use, on track use I've heard of fade on OE brakes after just a handful of hot circuit laps. There's quite a few here who have tried various ways of improving from installing bigger pistons into the stock calipers to full big brake kits, StopTech seems the most popular. You can also improve cooling to the discs, and run better fluid/stainless lines, and performance pads
on road I've found the gen2 brakes to be slightly better than the gen1, and the SRT's to be superb
