gates open at 8am, track opens at 10. I'm aiming to get the usual good parking space behind the grandstands (at about 9-9.30am)

10 CYL, multimap puts cardiff to santapod at 160 miles
so just the one hour journey time

Not having been there in a while, what's the procedure for those not running? Is it just turn up without any prior arrangement, pay admission, and watch? Is there any specific 'Viper' gathering place.
I'm still waiting for the last bit of paperwork before I can drive my Viper on the road, may be good to go this week, or more likely next, so I'd just be watching...

yep just turn up and pay on the gate and park where you like within reason, although in the past we have normally parked behind the grandstands next to the roads where the cars queue to run. As you arrive you drive past the staging area and its just on your right

The parking area isnt viper/vette allocated

The Torque is strong with this one . . . silly, but I like it! What happens when it gets to corners though?

Complete washout - not a single run

Great to see everyone and have a chat in the car park under the umbrellas, but The Skunk was sulking...

Miserable British weather

Your record lives Venom !

not one run all day by anyone, a total washout, sunny'ish when I got there, but then the dark clouds came over and it didnt break all day with constant annoying drizzle

stayed to 4.45pm with Nad and Joel (everyone had left earlier, they made the right decision)incase N & Skunk got a chance of a run... its turns out they would let you run till 9pm, fat chance absolutely chucked it down with the umbrellas turning inside out, even had hail for a couple of minutes that wasnt nice to see it pumpling the cars. It was like the end of the world, but worse

got back home soaked through after trying to hold the umbrella for Spud while he de-juiced, to see no rain and dry roads.... flippin ' typical

for those who are interested your ticket to run is valid tomorrow, with a prioty lane

Nice to see Darth Viper, his missus and Venom SRT

Car cleaning tomorrow anyone ?

Drive up to Elvington tomorrow. Weather forecast is good, and as far as i am aware there are still places available, although you would need to be early.

Event is Scoobyshootout, but all spaces werent filled.

You know you want to Joel.....
