Invitation ? Isle of Man Summer Performance car Weekend 15th-18th July 2005
Weve been asked to help advertise this year's weekend trip to the Jurby Drag car Event in the Isle of Man, run in conjunction with the IOM Tourist board and Straightliners Events ltd. The trip is open to all, and has already been sent out to all the clubs and groups who participate in Ten of the Best events.
A discount package has been agreed with the IOM tourist Board Travel Agency and Magic Holidays, they can be contacted directly for bookings on 01624
645777 quoting the Jurby Drag car Event.
The plan is for people to travel over on/around Friday 15th July, and return back on Monday 18th July. The package deals include the car ferry from
Liverpool or Heysham, and 3 nights B+B, although extra nights can of course be added.
Jurby airfield is booked for the Saturday and Sunday, to include a head-to head 1/4m event, and a timed sprint, open to all (including the IOM residents.)
In addition, there will be a social meet for all in Douglas each evening, plus a trophy presentation evening on the Sunday night.
Last year?s trip was enjoyed by all who attended; the roads on the Island are great, including the drive around the TT course which is one to
remember. Everyone who came enjoyed the social side and relaxed atmosphere, and we hope this will take off further this year as an annual trip for all clubs.
